Crenshaw Golf was originally formed in 1998 as a real estate holding company. Over the past seven years the company has moved into independent consulting to the golf industry in several areas. Crenshaw Golf is not part of Coore & Crenshaw, but works closely with C & C on specific projects. Crenshaw Golf can provide full design and construction service, utilizing some of the same shapers and contractors that have been part of the Coore & Crenshaw team for many years. This is the same team that created such notable golf courses as Sand Hills, Friars Head, Cuscowilla, The Plantation at Kapalua and the Colorado Golf Club. The major difference is the limited participation of Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw in these projects.
In most instances the same great project superintendents that created these memorable golf courses for the past 20 years can deliver a quality project at a savings in cost. Coore & Crenshaw will continue to create fabulous golf experiences throughout America, but this new entity provides an opportunity for us to showcase the talent of our talented shapers and design staff in addition to the signature designs by Bill and Ben.
